About us
Founded in 2021, Dorchester United Sports Club was created to give inner-city youth access to quality sports programs centered on netball. We focus on building discipline, teamwork, and leadership—core values that support personal growth. Through a welcoming and inclusive environment, we empower young people to build confidence, stay healthy, and foster strong community connections.
Community Impact
At Dorchester United Sports Club, we’re dedicated to empowering youth ages 7 to 24 through netball, creating positive change in our inner-city community. Our programs promote physical health, build essential life skills like leadership and teamwork, and foster a safe, inclusive space where young people from diverse backgrounds can grow confident and connected.
With committed coaches and mentors, we guide our players toward success on and off the court, helping them make positive choices and develop resilience. By participating in local leagues, tournaments, and community events, we strengthen community pride and unity, building a lasting legacy of achievement and opportunity for future generations.
Netball is more than just a game, it’s a pathway to growth, empowerment, and stronger communities.
HISTORY
Dorchester United Sports Club began with a shared vision among local netball enthusiasts who recognized the need for a supportive space where individuals could develop athletic skills while cultivating essential life values. Guided by principles of teamwork, inclusivity, and personal development, the club steadily expanded its program and volunteer base. Strategic partnerships with the BCYF, and community organizations have helped the club become a vital part of Boston’s sports landscape, offering affordable, accessible programs to youth across diverse socio-economic backgrounds.
Commitment to Promoting Sports
At its core, the club is committed to promoting sports as a powerful tool for holistic development. Beyond physical fitness, Dorchester United instills discipline, leadership, and resilience in its players. Through a supportive and inclusive environment, the club nurtures young people to thrive on and off the court.
Our coaching staff—comprising experienced professionals and passionate volunteers—focuses not only on athletic skill-building but also on teaching teamwork, fair play, and respect.
